Welcome to African Cartoonist, a new website featuring Tony Namate's political cartoons. The website will also embark on featuring other African cartoonists in the near future.

This website has been launched mainly in response to the calls for Namate's cartoons from Zimbabweans in the Diaspora. As most will remember, Namate's cartoons have previously graced the pages of the Daily News, Zimbabwe Independent, Standard and Financial Gazette among other noteworthy publications. The website will also showcase cartoons about the world's hotspots for international audiences.

Here, Namate continues his no-holds barred critical assessment of the political situation in Zimbabwe. There will be space available for readers' comments. He hopes the cartoons will give stressed Zimbabweans the much-needed comic relief from the current political tensions.
