Tim Jackson
Afro-American Tim Jackson is a nationally syndicated cartoonist, illustrator and graphic designer. He currently draws editorial cartoons for the Chicago Defender newspaper, the Chicago Tribune and serves as Art Director for LifeTimes newspaper; a publication of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and Texas.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Jackson's childhood desire to be a cartoonist was first realized at the age of 14, when one of his cartoons appeared in The Dayton Journal Herald. This began his earliest introduction into journalism.

Jackson relocated to Chicago to attend the School of the Art Institute Of Chicago, where he majored in film, animation and art education and spent several years teaching cartooning at community centers and Chicago City Colleges.

Tim Jackson is currently a member of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists (AAEC) and the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).
